Destiny 2 PC -nothing showing in geo filter

Hey team,

havnt used geofiltering in a while but i tried to get it going on D2 again last night and it wasnt showing anything at all when filtering.

 

I set my PC as a console which has worked in the past but it is still not showing anything. any suggestions?

I'm not sure how well D2 is working on filtering at the moment, especially for PC but try this:

1. Quit the application/game/client completely
2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC)
4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
7. Wait 2 minutes
8. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works better.

hmmm nothing showing up still, howevere annecdotally connections feel better. 

I am in Australia and i normally connect to lobbies 90% in Asia and now it feels quite a bit better i just cant see anyone on the map

 

any plans to revisit this for destiny?

it started to work fraser, thanks for the advice! the connections are certainly better with filter enabled however sometimes if you have weird connection issues you have to turn it off

That's great to hear! Yes due to the changes they made it's not working 100% of the time like it did before. We may look at it again in future and see if there is anything further we can do.
