Stobbee
Hello, may I ask what you recommend to set on Netduma R2 Qos settings? I play online fps and I stream on Kick simultaneously, which percentage should I give to gaming and to streaming?
Fuzy
Hi, It all depends on your connection (ul/dl speed), the game itself does not need a lot of bandwidth unlike streaming depending on the resolution you want to share.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 1, 2023 Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2023 Firstly, what is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to and do you have ALL devices connected to the R2? You don't necessarily need to change Bandwidth Allocation but as above what are your speeds? We usually recommend a starting point of 70/70 for Congestion Control and then experimenting from there to see what works best for you.
Stobbee
R2 is connected to my ISP router, every device is connected to R2. My download speed is 750 Mb and my upload speed is 300 Mb.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 3, 2023 Administrators Share Posted September 3, 2023 How is the modem setup, is it in bridge/modem mode or have you put the R2 in its DMZ? I don't think you need to use Bandwidth Allocation in your scenario, you have plenty. As long as you have Congestion Control active (starting at 70%, changing if you feel it can be improved) and Traffic Prioritization enabled to prioritize your Gaming you'll be good to go. Stobbee
R2 is in DMZ. If I set 70% on congestion control will this percentage be dedicated to gaming and streaming and the other 30% to everything else? Does it work like that? thanks
