No you don't need to add anything else to the R2. With the upstream DNS option selected it will use the ISP set DNS.

yes but on first photo i have ISP DNS OFF. i have to put it ON?

which dns is better isp or r2?

Yes you should enable it. The R2 doesn't have its own DNS, you would have to set it manually to Cloudflare, Google etc and what's best really depends on your location, ISP, routing etc so I can't properly answer that. It won't make a difference for gaming though.

ISP dns are often the fastest (even if you won't see the difference in web page loading) because they can be regionalized... but by using them your ISP can collect data about your browsing or other. There are plenty of DNS providers personally I use cloudfare! (1.1.1.1 in primary and 1.0.0.1 in secondary and "that of my service provider in tertiary in case of failure").

Hi !

On your ISP router check the ISP DNS box:

image.png

On R2 check only use upstream DNS

image.png

It will be based on the DNS given by your ISP router
You can also put another DNS "DNS overide" on the R2 in case of DNS failure your ISP! 1.1.1.1 Cloudfare et 8.8.8.8 Google or other

Don't touch that if you don't know what you're doing!

Ok I got it,... were you using openDNS DNS upstream on your ISP router before? OpenDNS is targeted in France...

Restart all your machines! Mainly your main router!
