What message does the console give when you try to connect it? Is the R2 in the DMZ on the Fritz? You don't need port forwarding to be enabled if you have the console in the DMZ. Are you leaving the console in a standby/instant on state? If so that could be why and shutting it down properly when you're done using it should allow it to connect properly the next time you turn it on.

installed latest r2 update - 3.3.501
disabled port forwarding
dmz fritz 7590 on r2
r2 dmz on comsol nat open
on ps5 the problem remains at the first start from ps off
gives me (no connection)
on the 2nd restart it goes back to normal
another option unplug the ps5 r2 ethernet cable and plug it back in after 10 seconds
honestly it always did but I got tired of restarting the ps 2 times
I would like to solve the problem
Thanks again

Does the PS5 have a static ip on the dhcp (ethernet) of R2?

From memory the problem on PS5 is that the wifi and ethernet connection can be mixed, which poses a problem at the dhcp level (is it possible to deactivate wifi on the ps5?)

Did you factory reset after your update? So it makes no difference if the console is turned off fully you still need to restart it?

Good advice above to set a static IP for the console on the R2.
