DHawk12
So I always had auto update disabled to prevent potential issues and I am now ready to upgrade to the newest firmware for my XR500 (it’s been over a year since updating). How exactly do I do a clean upgrade? Do I download the firmware, factory reset router then activate the update afterwards? Or do I update the router first then do a factory reset? I know I shouldn’t save my settings so I’m just taking a few screenshots so I don’t forget anything. I’d appreciate any input because I want to do it 100% correctly so I don’t encounter any problems because setting everything up is a real pain which is why I procrastinated on updating the firmware. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 9, 2023 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2023 So upgrade the firmware, wait 5 minutes or so after you've done that just to make sure its all finished properly, then you can do a factory reset and you'll be good to go. If you're going to upgrade would you like to try the beta?
