GManuel5
is there a way to fix this?
lukasz
Helo there. So this is your base ping. Your ISP its in charge of that sort of speak. There is nothing on you end or DUMA end to fix this at the moment. This is an idication that the line or you connection have not the best ping its not the most terrible but at this same time not a perfect one ether. What i would do is to record few of those at different times of a day like peaky times when people are back for school work weeknds and so on. Then i would ring you ISP and tell them about issues you have and that you can prove it as they are the only ones that can fix it.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 23, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 23, 2015 As Lukasz said, your ISP is the only person that can decrease the ping. But this isn't always possible without changing the line which they may not want to do. A 36ms ping isn't bad though so I don't think you need to worry too much about it. Your games should still be much better with the Netduma
GManuel5
will this have a noticeable effect in game?

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 23, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 23, 2015 will this have a noticeable effect in game? If you're used to a ~35ms base ping when gaming (that won't have been the ping to host) then you're only going to find the games better than they were before the Netduma. The Netduma is going to get you games with ping closer to the base ping and this is what you should look at instead of decreasing your base ping which is much more difficult. GManuel5
yeah im used to it, but after getting the Duma the experience has been better so no complains there. Also I live in the Island of Puerto Rico so I always connect to a dedicated server in Florida wich is the closest one, ussually get a ping from 35 ms to 40. If I were in the states I would have a much lower ping. But the ping is better than before so ill take it.

zombitroid
I have a base ping of like 20 ms. So just think, your base ping is only 15-20 ms higher than mine. I don't think that the human eyes or ears can notice that. I don't think you have too much to worry about. But I'm not in your shoes so I could be wrong. Hang in there! Hopefully soon your isp will establish a better line quality on your network.
