Strict mode help

Recommended Posts

I have not had router long and upgraded firmware from 1.02.2 to 1.02.6 as I have a fibre connection and for me the new update gave me better throughput speed. Everything is set but when strict mode is on it just boots me from every lobby after a few seconds if I turn it off all works pretty well. What does striCT mode do and how do I use it properly advanced warfare on Xbox one by the way

It is suppose to enforce the GeoFilter much more strictly...if you are having trouble with it I recommend trying to first use the snap feature, if you still are being booted disable strict and post back here

Yes I used the snap feature many times I found that even if I put the filter to max snap distance it still does not keep me in lobbies, as soon as I un tick strict mode it works beautifully, the only other issue I've been having is when in a game I can't tell who is host as all circles within the filter are the same size however when sitting in lobby waiting for a game to start it show a specific large circle then when a game starts it goes away?

Hi Rusty

Wait till the next upgrade to see who the host is. Sorry about that I took it away thinking it was a good idea, been scolded by everyone and learnt my lesson.

What do you mean by you set your snap to max distance? Did it cover pretty much the entire world? If that happens again disable the geo-filter and see if you're getting a game if not then its probably not an issue our end I'm afraid. When that happens the appropriate services usually resolve themselves pretty quickly though.

Ok no worries I will test this out this afternoon. But yeas I pressed the snap button until it covered most of the world aswell 1 click is like 700 km 2 clicks is 1732km and 3 clicks takes 6000 km which covers all of Australia. But like I said when strict mode is not on it works fine. If I disable the geo filter on my device would the strict mode still work I would have thought it wouldn't?

Ok so the issue there is that Australia is quite isolated. I'd try use just your coast but if booting is taking too long then include the whole of Aus. Disabling the geo-filter stops any filtering so strict or non-strict doesn't apply :)
