Open NAT on 2 xbox one

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I would like to know how to have "open nat" on both of our consoles (mine and my brother's) ?

His is still in moderate state.

And for me I don't know How exactly how is my nat on my xbox one.

Is there a possibility to put the netduma on dmz to have all of it in "open" ?

Thanks

PS : he can't find people to play with when he's moderate.

PS2 : the 2 console are plugged via powerline adapter.

Hello there.

I cany only answer one of your questions. Yes you can put the whole netduma router in to DMZ on your ISP router. Because netduma router have its own firewall.

Rest of the question will be naswerd shortyl by someone for sure.

Yes, you can open both NATs. First make sure there is no port forwarding on the Netduma or your ISP router. Next follow these instructions to put the Netduma in your ISP router's DMZ. Then go to Settings >> UPnP and make sure UPnP is enabled. Also go to Settings >> Miscellaneous and make sure UPnP forwarding is enabled.

Make sure you disable the GeoFilter when checking the NAT on the consoles :)

Ok if I put the netduma WAN IP in the DMZ menu on my router.

does it mean all of my devices can be accessible from the internet since they they all goes through the netduma ?

No because the Netduma has its own firewall :) Do you have an Open NAT now?

I just did it, mine is open.

I'm gonna see my brother when he wakes up for his xbox one.

oh and BTW my ps4 is on type 2. So it's good ? right ?

ps : I'm secure to learn that the netduma have it's own firewall because i've hear that opening the DMZ is not really a good idea. (It's like putting your network in an "open bar" mode or something like that.)
