zombitroid Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 I always close my ps4 application (call of duty) before I change my congestion control settings or my geo filter settings in my net duma. Is this necessary? Will I mess up my internet if I try and change settings in my net duma without restarting my cod game? Sometimes I load up my game and then I forget that I still have my congestion control settings set at 100% for download and upload speeds. What do you guys do? And how does it work? Dillinger Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 I believe there is a 2-min delay, but I have never power cycled my console when making changes. I have encountered some problems after rating player hosts and not having the UI update, but it appears Fraser (with help from abc123) is on the trail of that little bitch and it should be eradicated soon. The rest of the time I leave my UI up and make changes on the fly as I play, I just have to remind myself that it takes about 2 mins for the update to "take hold". I have been known to make a change or two, hit the head, the fridge and come back refreshed and ready to try it again though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bagsta69 Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 As far as I know and have experienced, you do not have to leave the game, there is as Dilli mentioned a 2 minute delay (anti cheat feature). I sometimes make changes after a game, Wait till all the red dots and circles have gone from the geo filter map then any changes you have made or do make will take effect for the next game. It also helps you from getting thrown straight back into the same lobby or host. As far as I am aware the bandwidth settings take place straight away but I am not 100% on this as I only ever make changes when not in a game. I check my geo is correct , then turn off my pc and enjoy a few hours gaming happy in the knowledge that the duma is doing it's stuff never once looking at its gui and get lost in the game world.
