SolidOny
Searched throught the forum and cant seem to quite find what im looking for. Lately ive been messing with my ISP modem/router that I own from ISP. Fact is I prefer my XR 500 Router powered by DumaOs. We have UPNP on router, I also do have UPNP on my modem. We have DHCP option on modem. Soo. Question is. What should i turn off before setting my ISP Modem in Bridged mode to let my XR Router take care of. Should I TURN off/On UPNP ? Should i Turn Off/ON DHCP Server ? etc.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 12, 2022 Administrators Share Posted December 12, 2022 You don't need to turn everything off, once bridged that's all done and you can just use the XR SolidOny
SolidOny
So lets say. If I have UPNP By default ON on ISP Modem, I should let it ON and not turning it off because the XR has UPNP
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 12, 2022 Administrators Share Posted December 12, 2022 Correct, bridge mode passes all traffic straight through to the XR so should be unaffected by the modem settings SolidOny
bebito_fiufiu

Ivanbad
Hi. I use the IP passthrough on ISP modem. I keep wifi on my ISP modem and turn off wifi on XR1000 and plug in my console and laptop to it. I used to bridge but i find this actually feels smoother for gaming imo.
