jmoorect1979
So for the first time ever with my router, after completing a factory reset, I get an error saying "device not found" in the bottom are of the QoS section next to traffic prioritization. Not sure why or how to get around this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I do have the latest firmware update 2.3.2.134.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 8, 2022 Administrators Share Posted October 8, 2022 Downgrade to .114, factory reset, then re-upgrade to .134 but don't factory reset and that will resolve it. It's an issue we have fixed for the next version. jmoorect1979
jmoorect1979
Thank you for the help! I appreciate the quick response! Also, do I have to do anything special to downgrade? Or do I just download the older firmware and manual install it? And is there a link for it somewhere? Sorry for the bombardment of questions lol. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 9, 2022 Administrators Share Posted October 9, 2022 You're welcome! Nothing special, that's exactly right, it's just like upgrading manually, just with an older firmware file. Here is the link to the one I mentioned: https://kb.netgear.com/000062867/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-3-2-114 No worries at all, always best to ask if you're not sure, that's what we're here for! jmoorect1979

jmoorect1979
After following your instructions, which did work, I did a benchmark test using the Netduma software and no matter what I did in the QoS it always tested at full bandwidth. Is it supposed to function like that? I thought if you set the QoS down/up levels the test would reflect those settings.

The speed portion of the test won't reflect how you've set your Congestion Control percentages as it's an overall test to see what speeds you have coming into the router jmoorect1979
