justin peryea Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 just updated my internet and I don't get correct speeds not even close qos is on never
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 20, 2022 Administrators Posted September 20, 2022 Looks like your speedtest.net result is good, that will be what you're getting, you can ignore benchmark, it uses different servers but it won't be limiting you to that speed
justin peryea Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 yea but I get 1gig down and up only getting 400 up
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 20, 2022 Administrators Posted September 20, 2022 It's unlikely you'll get the full amount through the router but follow this guide and see what you get after that: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000076586-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-maximum-bandwidth-speeds
justin peryea Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 really damn that sucks nothing we can do to get upload little faster that kinda sucks that u don't get close to full speed read article and nothing seemed to help like I'm close on download
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 20, 2022 Administrators Posted September 20, 2022 Did you disable QoS fully in the Congestion Control menu ? As that should allow you to get a little higher. In WAN Settings disable the protection options as well, that will boost it a bit.
justin peryea Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 I did that didn't help it could be my computer cause i plug in verzion router and same thing crazy sucks I upgraded too much and don't come close to speed verzion says it's not them it's reading to the house 950 950
justin peryea Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 r there ethernet ports max at 500 or something
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 20, 2022 Administrators Posted September 20, 2022 What are you getting through the Verizon router exactly? When using a router compared to a pure modem you will lose some speed due to the processing so you it's very unlikely you will get 1000 exactly. No the ports do support up to 1000Mbps.
justin peryea Posted September 21, 2022 Author Posted September 21, 2022 around the same being to think my ethernet port on my computer can't handle it
jame0174 Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Make sure you are using cat 6 cables.Sometimes the wrong cables won't allow gig speeds
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 22, 2022 Administrators Posted September 22, 2022 Could advise above, test another device as well and see if you get the same speeds. Also generally ISPs advertise *Up to speeds so it may not be a guarantee you'll always get that up to value
