CES
i have tried everything to try and get the router to classify the traffic but nothing is being detected, i have restarted the router and everything, still having the same issues. it used to work before and it just stopped working out of the blue. network monitoring does not detect gaming, media or even web use. any fix for this ? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 17, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2022 Looks like it's categorized cloud gaming there, are you streaming a game using Xbox Game Pass for example?
CES
no i was watching a live stream on my 2nd monitor and i had the game open. also i do not own a console just my gaming pc
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 17, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2022 What games are you playing specifically that are not being categorized? You can get Xbox Game Pass for PC if you didn't know, its pretty good! CES
CES
so im playing halo mcc but i bought it through steam not the xbox app, i use xbox gamebar to chat with some friends so that might be where the 'xbox cloud games' is coming in... still i've been having issues with the "gaming" packets to show up. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 18, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 18, 2022 Thanks for the report, we can take a look at that, when you're playing does Traffic Prioritization prioritize it and if not how do you have the feature setup? CES
so when I playing mcc it does prioritized with the following : games and console, cloud gaming, xbox cloud gaming, but in network monitoring the packets are showing uncategorized/unknown ... cloud gaming does appear but no gaming traffic. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 18, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 18, 2022 Okay as long as Traffic Prioritization is working that is the main thing, we'll take a look at the game and get it sorted for Network Monitor CES
CES
okay, in the meantime do you think i should downgrade firmware then upgrade ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 18, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 18, 2022 It's unlikely to make a difference but if you sign up to early access: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ once approved you can try any new firmware posted there
CES
hey so it looks like everything is being routed properly since i did a manual flash of the system (downgrade factory reset/upgrade factory reset) all packets are being recognized including gaming traffic and cloud for pc. i noticed that i had to push the button on the back of the r2 with a pin and reset it that way rather than doing it from software where it says "factory reset" anyways all is working good just thought I'd add that in there in case anyone might have needed the help or had similar issue.
