Hydros85
hello, from my Internet provider I have a modem ZTE model: ZXA10 to which I do not have access, in the system information>logs I have something like this: [DoS Attack: IP Spoofing] from source: 192.168.1.1, port 32769, Thursday, September 08, 2022 14:12:41 from the forum I read that it doubles nat. Should I change to AP mode to eliminate it or the Internet provider will remain in contact?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 8, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2022 Ideally you would put the ZTE in modem mode or have the XR in its DMZ to eliminate double NAT, it would be a shame to put the XR in AP mode as you wouldn't be able to use any of the features I would presume you purchased it for. I'd suggest contacting your provider and getting them to put your modem in modem mode. Hydros85
Hydros85
ok I wrote to the Internet provider, you mentioned dmz I understand that then one device / internal ip address will not have a double nat?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 8, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2022 So you'd put the XR WAN IP (found in the System Information page) into the modem DMZ and that would prevent you getting a double NAT on any devices connected to the XR. Hydros85
the supplier has not yet spoken, but I have another problem I can not enter in dmz my wan address pops up such an error : this ip address should be in tthe same subnet as the Lan IP Adress
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 9, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2022 The DMZ on the XR500 is for putting devices connected to the XR into, you can't put the XR into its own DMZ, it has to go into the modem DMZ
