Why isnt Device Manager names and LAN Set up device names synced?

Is there a plan to sync the name of devices in Device Manager with the devices listed in LAN Setup (For when setting Static IPs)?

Seems strange to have to set the names with both manually.

Yes there is a plan to do that, the reason it does that is because Netgear have a different way of detecting device names than we do and so they need to be synced.
