Xr500 blinking white power light

Recommended Posts

So I had a power outage last night and this morning my router had a white blinking light. It doesn’t reset and I’ve tried to power the router off for over ten min to drain it and still nothing. I tried the Tftp process as given on the net gear page, however when trying to do it (on my iMac) I press cd followed by the file and then enter, I then get a “no such file or directory” on the terminal page.

not sure what could be wrong? Any help would be great since I can’t use my router at all.

I'm not sure which guide you're following to do the TFTP upgrade, but I'd suggest this one:

https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt

For the cd command, all you're doing there is moving to the Desktop directory, so please remove the image filename from the end of that command.
