fletcherjames1 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Hi, I get around 125mbps to my router, but only 113mbps to my PC, even with QoS turned off. I get more speed from my ISPs router to my PC, any reason why this could be happening
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 26, 2022 Administrators Posted July 26, 2022 Which router is this happening on specifically and what firmware version are you using? What is the model of the ISP router, how is it setup to ensure an Open NAT behind the XR router - DMZ, Bridge etc? Are ALL devices connected to the XR?
fletcherjames1 Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 The XR1000(1.0.0.64_1.0.49). The XR1000 is set up using an openreach modem from the ISP
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 27, 2022 Administrators Posted July 27, 2022 How did you turn off QoS exactly? You will lose some speeds when using a router compared to a modem as the modem just pushes all traffic uninterrupted to the connected device whereas the router has more processing to do so that is likely what is happening as the speeds aren't drastically reduced.
fletcherjames1 Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 By checking the disable QoS box. The modem was also used for the ISPs router too
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 27, 2022 Administrators Posted July 27, 2022 The XR1000 is pretty beastly hardware wise so it's more than capable of your speeds and wouldn't really limit it, how are you testing the speeds exactly?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 27, 2022 Administrators Posted July 27, 2022 Via ethernet or WiFi? If you use a different site such as fast.com do you still see slightly reduced speeds?
