Keep losing internet

I reset the r2 and I get no internet.My ps5 keeps saying  dns.I have the dns set to use upstream  my xr1000 had it so it would use my isp automatically any help would be great. I also do a factory reset and my internet comes back up.

Sorry could you clarify please, you said you do a reset and you get no internet but you do a factory reset and you get internet, for the first reset do you mean a reboot/restart stops you getting internet? How are you doing the reboot, via the interface or pulling the power?

yes i reboot the modem and the r2 .After the reboot is when i lose internet.my Testing internet on my ps5 sas a dns issue.than i do a factory reset on tn r 2 and it comes back.Ithink my dns is not set up on the r2

The R2 takes the DNS from the modem automatically so that won't be the problem. Reboot the modem, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R2, wait 2 minutes then check. Don't reboot them at the same time and reboot from the R2 interface, not by unplugging and it should work fine.

should i keep upstream checked  under dhcp.Becaus i don't see any dns filled in thanks again.  i forgot to mention  my password doesn't come up when i bring up my ip address for duma os

Yes keep upstream DNS ticked and it will use what your ISP has set. Do you mean the interface doesn't ask you to login? Sometimes it won't it depends how quickly you've previously logged in
