Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2022 Sorry could you clarify please, you said you do a reset and you get no internet but you do a factory reset and you get internet, for the first reset do you mean a reboot/restart stops you getting internet? How are you doing the reboot, via the interface or pulling the power?
jame0174
yes i reboot the modem and the r2 .After the reboot is when i lose internet.my Testing internet on my ps5 sas a dns issue.than i do a factory reset on tn r 2 and it comes back.Ithink my dns is not set up on the r2
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2022 The R2 takes the DNS from the modem automatically so that won't be the problem. Reboot the modem, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R2, wait 2 minutes then check. Don't reboot them at the same time and reboot from the R2 interface, not by unplugging and it should work fine. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2022 Yes keep upstream DNS ticked and it will use what your ISP has set. Do you mean the interface doesn't ask you to login? Sometimes it won't it depends how quickly you've previously logged in
jame0174
yes the interface never askes for password
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2022 The browser has probably cached your login, I suspect if you rebooted the router or tried to connect on a different device it would ask for the login details
