mukey
Hi Support, So I stream via IPTV through a T95 Android TV box for all my sports. I have QoS setup, 70/70 and the T95 box a 22 download allocation. I get about 250 download to the Router ( although I pay for 500 lol). I do not have loads of devices connected, just my TV, iPhone, MacBook and Echo. Had a break from gaming for a while due to being banned lol. My question is this, every now and then when Im streaming sports on my box, if I go on my iPhone and start watching some TikTok or something it will cause my android box to buffer. Is there anything I can do? As I thought this is what QoS stopped... when I go to to Network Monitor I can see the android box only uses about 10mbps download when watching sports, so there's absolutely loads of bandwidth left over, but I get buffering when I go on my phone half of the time. The Android box is also wired into the router and the router is like 1 foot from the box. Any advice appreciated, only thing I can think is the Traffic Prioritisation setting on the QoS might help? As I do not have anything being used on that setting, but how would I do it as when it gives you the selection of device types none match the Android Box. Thank you, appreciate all the support you give.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2022 What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to? Are ALL devices connected to the R2? You should absolutely have plenty, I'd suggest initially, reset Bandwidth Allocation, then disable Share Excess for download and see if that prevents the issue. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2022 Is the R2 in the V Hub DMZ? If not or you're not sure what that is, copy the WAN IP from the R2 System Information page, then access the V Hub interface, look for the DMZ and enter it there. So on the Bandwidth Allocation feature, top left of the panel you can see the icon, this means there is an available menu with more options (you'll see it around on most panels), click that and you can disable Share excess for the download. Thanks mate. What's the easiest/quickest way to access the Virgin Router settings? Is there any way to do it without removing the Netduma?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2022 Like the R2 you can type the LAN IP of the V hub into the web browser and it should take you there - no need to remove the R2 to do this. I believe the IP for the V hub is 192.168.0.

Hi, the WAN IP on my Netduma is 192.168.100.1... it won't let me add that if you look at this screenshot?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2022 What IP does the V hub show on connected devices for the R2? Do you have something else between the V hub and the R2 - another router, switch, wifi extender etc?

Will let you know when I get home from work mate at half 3… I may have a WiFi extended plugged in but I’m not sure if it is or not.
