Slow upload and download speedtest - QOS disabled/enabled

I have 900MBS upload and Download speeds from my ISP (ultrafibre networks)

Tested on my original Tenda router achieving speeds of 870-900 on both upload and download using speedtest.net.

On the netduma R2 barely getting 500-600 down and 400 up.

Have gone through all advice i can find on other posts, but nothing is improving the situation.

Have contacted my ISP and they have checked everything for me and there is no reason they would limit the speeds to this router

Click disable QoS from the menu there, what speeds do you get then?

Are you doing the speedtest via benchmark or speedtest.net for example?

Have tried both on and off, results are always around this level.  I also updated the FW and then did a factory reset

A word of advice if you have very high speeds from your ISP, the best thing is to leave the speeds at 1000 mbps ul and dl on the R2...

Just tried that there too, download achieved slightly higher at 630 but upload still less than 400 :(

What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to? Are ALL devices connected to the R2?

The modem was provided by the ISP.  Its an Adtran 1287833F2

Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN and disable the protection options in WAN as well and see if it is any higher. If it isn't copy the MAC address from the old router and apply that to the R2, reboot the R2 from the interface, wait 2 minutes and then retest.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Can you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?

Getting somewhere now... Would this be the only way to get the full speeds from the R2?

Ah interesting, sometimes it can take a little while for the connection to adapt to a new router or for some reason the ONT and R2 are not working well together to pass through the full speeds

The old router is a Tenda AC1200, does that help?  That worked on the ONT full speeds straight out of the box

In terms of why that gets full speeds vs the R2 not that I know of, it just must be better at taking that connection from a pure modem/ONT compared with the R2 - that's something a dev would need to look into further

How could i go about asking a Dev to take a look?  Im happy i can now use it with this workaround but ideally i need to be able to just use the R2 on its own.  otherwise i would have to return it and look for another model

What protocol do you use between your ONT and the R2? For me the Tag Vlan and the DHCP option 60 does not pose a problem on a 1G connection...

I have no clue on those settings, is that something i would need to access on the ONT?

I can pass that on but I couldn't say when a dev would be able to investigate and if they find anything on when they would be able to provide a fix in an update

If you could i would appreciate that.  Would i get an email or just keep up to date on this thread?

when you connect the r2 in Ethernet directly to your ONT how do you get internet on the R2?
