XR100 Used purchased question

When you buy a used XR1000 and your buddy tells you he registered with app, what does mean? He says it won't let him unregister it so that app can't be used again?

What app, I never use an app to set things up or for admin, is this what he is referencing, can I still set the thing up thru the router gui etc...

I assume he is referring to signing up for the warranty which is an option at the end of the Setup Wizard, it will not impact your ability to interact with the interface or DumaOS/Nighthawk app

You register the serial number but then with your personal details - a way to prevent people getting a replacement device if they stole it for example, of course can become a problem when someone sells a device and doesn't transfer the warranty over.
