R1 issues

Hi,

So, I thought I'd try using the R1 since it had an update from when I last used it, to see how it was working.  Seems to be fine for a day or so, then crashes with the attached logs with intermittent or slow connection to all devices.  This usually occurs after a day or so.  If left long enough, I can't access the UI either.  After restarting by pulling the power, all works fine again.  Can someone please shed a light on why it starts dropping packets requiring a restart?

Thanks

That's really weird, did you factory reset after installing the new firmware? What devices do you have connected to the R1? How many approximately?

I did yes and even reverted back to .171 to compare but was the same.  I have a bit of everything...Consoles, 2 PCs,  tabs, mobiles, TVs and a couple of smart devices.  About 45 connected devices in total but only 20/25 at a time at it's peak.

I have woken up a few mornings to no internet or access to the interface at all.  Only a restart works.  The log I sent is when I realise that something is going on, either problems on websites or speed in loading pages or issues connecting to online servers when gaming.

It's caused because there's too many concurrent connections.

Do you have any servers running or do you do any torrenting? If so, that's likely what's generating the connections and causing conntrack to freak out.

Not sure then as I don't do any of those at all but yes it does almost seem it gets saturated and can't cope.  Anything else you could suggest?

Would you mind if we access your R1 remotely and take a look at this?

If that's alright, could you please enable remote access to tech support from the WAN settings and we'll take a look at what's going on.

Hi, sorry I was out.  Yes that's fine, I've turned it on now.  Anything else, just shout.  It's still on .171, is that ok?

Thanks

Thanks, I'm just waiting to hear back from the team as it's not quite so simple to access the R1s remotely.

In the mean time, I think .171 should be fine but I'll let you know.

Do you notice the issue immediately after a reboot? Realistically all current connections should be dropped when power to the R1 is lost, so theoretically you shouldn't notice the issue happening for a little while, until enough connection have been generated to cause a crash.

No, after a reboot it works perfectly.  It gradually gets worse once it's been active for almost a day, however it has gone half a day longer before but mostly within 24hrs.

OK yeah that's what's causing it then, something is generating a lot of connections. Once I've got the necessary info from a dev for accessing your unit, I'll be able to see what's causing it.

I think we will actually need you to upgrade to the latest firmware, and then re-enable remote access to tech support if that's OK. Could you let me know when you've done that?
