Cant Lower Ping no matter what

Hi I am having trouble lowering my upload and Download Ping underload Currently I have about 20 ping for both my upload and Download on the connection benchmark. However it has been impossible to lower any of the pings significantly. I did a couple of tests on xr450 and mess around with the sliders however I didn't find much change. I also seem to have these spikes whenever I test no matter what the qos setting is I can get the spikes to go away. What can I do to lower my ping to the lowest possible?

 

My setup

 

Nighthawk XR450 V2.3.2.120

Paired with At&t modem  Pace 5268

 

 

 

Here is a test with the qos settings at 70% each 

 

I did another 70 - 70 test after and found that the download was lower than normal but the spikes were still present ( after resetting the router)

Considering you get pretty high speeds from your ISP, you may find you need to lower the Congestion Control sliders a little more to get better results in Connection Benchmark.

I'd suggest lowering to around 50/50, then repeat tests every 5% until you find what the best combination is.
