My pc doesn’t have Wi-fi, can I set it up via Ethernet cable?

I recently got the r2, I’ve connected it to my virgin media hub, then connected my console and pc to the netduma. But when I go to the set up wizard it says failed to detect internet connection, my pc doesn’t have a Wi-fi setting, I use Ethernet for it. Can I set it up using Ethernet? I’m not very good at setting stuff like this up so any help is appreciated.

Yes absolutely you can. Did you connect it to the V hub as per the manual in the box? So LAN port on the V hub to the blue internet port on the R2?

Yeah I’ve done that, it’s working now. The geo filter doesn’t seem to work though it keeps putting me in servers outside the geo filter radius

Glad to hear it. Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter showing that happening please? Then I can best advise on what is happening

How I fixed it. 
 

Put the Hub 3 into modem mod

Disconnect all ethernet cables from the Hub 3 then power off the Hub 3.

Then, set up your own router with the WAN port set to be in DHCP mode. Make sure it’s fully initialized (leave 5 min) and then put in the Cat 5E/6 cable to the Hub 3.

Now power up the VM hub and you should get a connection. This order only needs to be done the first time you connect your own router to the VM hub.
