khaled12345 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I was playing cold war on my brothers ps4 and i instantly noticed how much better his hit detection was compared to me (pc). i tried using the same internet same servers as him so the ping was same, even tried using his ethernet cable, however his just felt way better. only difference i could detect was that my bandwidth in game was 4059 and his was around 2200ish. we both had moderate. how can this be explained
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 27, 2021 Administrators Posted March 27, 2021 Are you in the same house? If so it was likely Traffic Prioritization covering his console more than your PC - if you disable classified games and add both devices with the Games Console service it may be better
Khaled123456 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 We’re not using the nighthawk atm just standard router and we’re at the same house. The router we’re using doesn’t have a Qos or traffic feature. I don’t know how to make sense of this
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 27, 2021 Administrators Posted March 27, 2021 Ah I see, in that case I couldn't be sure. Were you both connected via the same way e.g. ethernet, 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi?
Khaled123456 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Ethernet. Like I said the only difference I saw what that his bandwidth in game was half mine
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 27, 2021 Administrators Posted March 27, 2021 I'm not sure what I could suggest then unfortunately as you're not using a router with our software
Khaled123456 Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Let’s say I use the nighthawk how is that going to change anything
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 28, 2021 Administrators Posted March 28, 2021 It's whole purpose is to eliminate latency and prioritize your devices, as well as force you on the servers with the best ping. Plus I'll actually be able to help, I can't help when it's not one of our products.
