My Netduma R2 is not connecting to the internet

Hello, I bought the R2 and when I put it on my computer it didn’t connect automatically, I put the WAN cable and shows “no internet access”. I manage to enter DumaOS, but as I don’t have access to the internet, I can’t proceed with the configuration. When I click on troubleshoot problems, it appears that “your DNS server might be unavailable”, and when I connect my older router I have internet access normally. Could you please help me?

Welcome to the forum!

What's your exact physical setup? Typically it will look something like ISP router/modem -> R2 -> Connected devices (PC, console, wireless devices, etc)

You'll want the ISP router connected to the R2 via it's blue WAN port on the back and the rest of your devices connected to the R2 via it's four LAN ports or Wi-Fi.

Could you please go to System Information and click on the three-line menu on 'Installed Rapps'. Please set the number of retries value to 5. Let me know if this helps with that error.

Also, I'd advise upgrading the the latest version of DumaOS:

You'll need an internet connection to download the latest firmware but you won't need a connection to update the R2.

Does nothing load then? It may be worth trying a factory reset by holding the reset pin on the back of the R2 for 30 seconds, give it 5 minutes or so to get setup again!
