DakkTy Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 I have the netduma r2 and a netgear cm1000 modem and my netduma is constantly disconnecting from the internet and I am having to restart it multiple times to get it to connect again.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 30, 2021 Administrators Posted January 30, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. How often do you see this happening? Is it all devices or just wifi/ethernet? When it happens, in the System Information page does it say disconnected?
DakkTy Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 Its the router itself will not connect to the internet i use an ethernet connection on my main computer and wifi on my phone and few other devices and the wifi is awful but I can connect directly to my modem and I have internet
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 30, 2021 Administrators Posted January 30, 2021 Could you disable IPv6 in LAN and WAN Settings on the R2 please. Do you know if you have a dynamic or static public IP?
DakkTy Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 Ok well finally after 3 hours of restarting it, it finally is connected to the internet and im pretty sure I have a static ip

As you've got a static IP I'd recommend contacting the ISP to find out what those static details are, you can then enter that into the R2 WAN Settings and that should prevent further disconnects.
