gisuck Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Hi There, In the future, will there be an option to disable/remove DNSMasq from the router? PI-hole yesterday published an update stating that they got advanced warning that there's 7 security vulnerabilities in DNSMasq that they just patched. Those vulnerabilities are not disclosed to the public yet. But the frequency on which we get release updates from NETDuma on Netgear routers has me gravely concerned that our routers may be susceptible to exploits. Can anyone comment? Newfoundland Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 Netgear handle all security updates and as such will patch when required. Some times we never know what security is patched. If one is needed it will be added.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 21, 2021 Administrators Posted January 21, 2021 To be fair to Netgear they are very fast as releasing security updates when required so once that comes to light/when they are aware of it I'm sure they will patch it very quickly for any routers that are affected by it.
