Robert1997-
Hello all, this Is my very first post asking for some help with my netduma R2. So I purchased it 2 months ago and I still cant seem to get a stable connection with it at all, I've looked all over Google and YT, tried several different of the "best settings" according to youtubers and nothing seems to be working at all. Soon as I go into a game of warzone or call of duty in general, the connection is okay for 2 mins then it becomes completely unplayable to an extent where I need to leave the game. If I disconnect from my netduma and go back to using just the sky internet without the Duma being connected everything works absolutely fine. But soon as I connect to the Duma everything goes all wonky! I've tried connecting to the low ping servers on the geo filter section and that still doesn't seem to do anything at all . Any help or information would be greatly appreciated please, I'm from scotland.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 19, 2020 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! What exactly is your physical setup? How have you set the R2 up to get an open NAT with your setup? What is your ping as shown by the Geo-Filter when the issue occurs and what does it show in game? Can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter and QoS settings as well as your results from a Connection Benchmark results please?
Robert1997-
I'm not entirely sure how to get an open nat unfortunately, it's at moderate most of the time but on the xbox is telling me I have a double Nat which is interfering with alot of things such as joining parties and finding games. But if I go back to just using my normal sky connection everything works fine. I'm not too sure how to check the ping during a game om xbox.. I dont think its possible😭

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 19, 2020 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2020 You will need to put the R2 WAN IP (found in System Information) into the DMZ function on the Sky interface and then that will resolve the double NAT issue. You don't need to apply that much bandwidth to gaming as it won't use it. You're not using Congestion Control which will eliminate lag. I'd suggest you experiment with the percentages while using Always to see what aligns the Ping Under Load test results closer to the Ping Test results. I added the R2 wan IP into the DMZ section of my sky interface just there, is there anything else I need to do at all? Such as adding my xbox IP or things along those lines to the netduma?.. if so please let me know mate😁😁! Once I can get all this set up and running properly I'll be on a ball! I also limited my bandwidth to 60 as I think 100 was a little too high and like you said it would be pointless having it at that as it wont even use the full amount. I'm not clued up on all this stuff man hence why it's a little bit more confusing for me
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 20, 2020 Administrators Share Posted December 20, 2020 No that should be fine I think but see how you get on with that and adjusting Congestion Control and if you have any questions or issues let us know and we'll be happy to help.
