Hallo Leute,

Hello, welcome to the forum!
Do you know if you require anything special to gain a connection (the internet provider would have told you if you did most likely) such as PPPoE etc? If you don't then yes it is plug and play, there is a diagram in the box of how to connect this. You can still use your phone on the speed port. I would suggest disabling the WiFi on the speed port and just using the R2 WiFi. I would also suggest putting the WAN IP from the R2 System Information page into the speedport DMZ function - this will ensure an Open NAT on your devices.

Could you provide the exact model of the speedport please and then I can look it up for you and see if it supports DMZ. You don't need it there will be other workarounds so you can still use it if it doesn't have that feature.
