hurricane1984 Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Hi, I have a question. It seems that my UPnP is not disabling and when i look in the router login page i see that some ports keep opening without me opening them manually. When i play Destiny 2 (ik know its a bad game but still i like it for some reason) ports 3098 are opening while i manually haver forwarded the ports 3074-3097 manually but they do not seem to work. UPnP is disabled in windows and the router itself. I have no issues with Warframe though.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2020 Administrators Posted November 11, 2020 Were the ports already opened when you disabled UPnP? If so they will still apply while the connection is active.
hurricane1984 Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 Nothing was opened when i disabled UPnP. They are only opening when i run Destiny 2. Idk what the first ports are though, never seen them. I mean the ports 15519.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2020 Administrators Posted November 11, 2020 If you reboot the router does the UPnP page clear and then from then on does it stop opening ports?
hurricane1984 Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 When i reboot the ports are not there no, but after a while they are there again. The second ports are only when opening Destiny 2 which is weird because i manually forwarded the ports and UPnP is disabled.. 15519 is always open for some reason, idk what for actually.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2020 Administrators Posted November 11, 2020 Are you using the DMZ as well by any chance?
hurricane1984 Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 Nope, i am only using the XR500 so no need for DMZ.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2020 Administrators Posted November 11, 2020 The IP address for these entries, are they both the same and for the game device?
hurricane1984 Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 Yes they are. The 15519 port is closed now, will test destiny 2 soon. Is there any news on the new firmware of the XR500 or does it remain in beta for some time still?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2020 Administrators Posted November 11, 2020 Until we're sure that the beta is pretty stable we won't make a public release version. We should have a new beta build soon though.
hurricane1984 Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 UPnP is disabled now and no ports are opening anymore, i switched from enable to disable a couple of times and rebooted which seemed to do the trick. I hear ya on that, were in beta for over 6 months now which is why im asking. I think this version is working pretty well though, havent had big issues so far.
hurricane1984 Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Nope, they are still opening.. Both ports are still opening when i launch Destiny 2. Why is this happening while i clearly disabled UPnP? This should not be possible, right?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 12, 2020 Administrators Posted November 12, 2020 Yeah that shouldn't be the case at all, not sure why that is. Are you on the latest beta update then?
hurricane1984 Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Yes, im on the latest netduma update. Only happens with Destiny 2 though.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 12, 2020 Administrators Posted November 12, 2020 Okay change: Advertisement Period to 5 Advertisement Time to live to 10 Apply, then disable and see if it stops please.
hurricane1984 Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Nope, nothing changed. this is really weird man, i set the portforward manually to 3097 and it changed to 3089, than i changed to 3098 and it goes to 3099 in game.. What kind of voodoo magic is going on here lol. That the game is broken every one knows but this is really concerning.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 12, 2020 Administrators Posted November 12, 2020 Very weird, are you using an Xbox? If so in the network settings what port is set for it to use?
hurricane1984 Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 No im on PC man. The port tables are there man, second picture previous post. UPnP just doesn't turn off just as on the previous stable version of netdumaOS. There is just something in the software not working correctly.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 12, 2020 Administrators Posted November 12, 2020 Yeah it must be a bug, I will pass it onto the team. No need to worry though it shouldn't cause you any issues.
hurricane1984 Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Alright man, thnx a lot. Do you have any idea when the new build is coming btw?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 13, 2020 Administrators Posted November 13, 2020 Just to let you know we're basically waiting for NG QA team to give it the go ahead then we can put it out assuming that is all fine.
hurricane1984 Posted November 13, 2020 Author Posted November 13, 2020 Cool, thnx for the head up man. What about this UPnP stuff? nothing to worry about?
