obyyl
Here's the entire story: I recently moved into a new home and purchased xfinity internet for my xr500, I am paying for a gig, but never saw above 200-400, I assumed there was a problem with my router so I purchased the XR1000 and am seeing the same thing, I then assumed it was something with xfinity, I had a couple techs come out and now have updated wiring and everything looks fine on their end, I am still seeing the same issue but recently noticed when I test my speeds through connection benchmark on dumaos, I am seeing 800-900 download, the problem is I never see that on any device outside of the dumaos, when I run any other speed test (google, ookla) on my devices, wired and wireless, I still see 200-400, how can I fix this? sHANADELT
i notice similiar results usually 600 ish with QoS enabled. i have been told unless you have a ton of devices sucking down bandwidth to disable QoS as you will never saturate your line. I have congestion control slider on Auto and set it to 99% for both DL and UL with QoS disabled and bandwidth allocation is by devices. I now hit higher dl speeds and always hit 940-950 DL which is technically what you get from xfinity. I also see better ping results while searching for games and hit detection is amazing. I am running on IPV6, disabled port scan and DoS protection, disabled SIP ALG, turned off all logs, disabled media server and unchecked all mediaSHARE storage. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! If you disable QoS fully from the Congestion Control 3 line option menu do you receive higher speeds then?
