How does one allocate more bandwidth to a certain device and allow less bandwidth on others as you stated. I'm not sure which option gives me such control. Thanks as always 👍

You do that with the Bandwidth Allocation feature. Give more to one device for example and less to others.

Thanks so much. That was exactly what I was looking for.

The image below is my load test are those spikes what you want to see. I had to put the QoS to Download 50% and Upload 15% to achieve it with no huge spikes. Is this good?

The D your seeing at the bottom is because it captures my upload but my download it keeps saying 1mb or 2mb even though I have 100mb. When I do a speed test I have no issues. I'm guessing your server for download speed is having issues. I'm on the latest candidate firmware.

That is actually really good! Although it looks a bit spiky it's only because the scale is so small, averaging between 6-8ms under load is brilliant! We are aware of the speed part not reporting correctly and we're looking into that.

Alright I just got my smart switch Tp-link and no connection issues. Setup vlan tagging on the smart switch and Netduma connected. Device allocation works very well.

My only question now I'm using PPPoE to connect to my internet how do I change IP. In my country certain IP's are slow so usually on the Asus router page there is an on and off button. I could just turn it off and on. It would get a new IP in like 15seconds. With this router I'm not sure how to change my IP. Please advise thanks 👍

I've never heard a button on the router that does that given it isn't possible for a router to force a new public IP. Probably triggers a disconnection which triggers the ISP to assign one. If you reboot the modem you should get a new one if you're on a dynamic IP.

Yes your right I'm on a dynamic IP. Rebooting takes awhile. I tried removing the cable connecting my Onu to my switch and my ISP gives me a new IP. Only issue got to keep doing it manually by unplugging the cable. I get a new IP in a couple of seconds.

Where does one input ipv6 dns settings. I see an option to use alternate dns or upstream dns. Mines on upstream at the moment. My Asus router has a dns page for both. You can put one for ipv4 and ipv6. How does one accomplish this on a R2?

What is upstream dns? Should I use that? Make the changes by using the Windows 10 static IP like I've done for ipv4 whereby I stated in Windows 10 to use 1.1.1.1

Thanks for your assistance as always 👍

You can't change the IPv6 DNS at the moment so if you're using IPv6 would suggest you select use upstream DNS. If you want to use IPv4 then you can change the DNS if you wish. Setting on the device itself will not override the router DNS as it has to go through the router to connect to the internet.

If I select upstream does it choose my ISP dns. I don't want to use that. I use Cloudflare dns. I read somewhere if you change it in Windows it prioritizes that devices dns. I did a nslookup on cmd showed it was using my IPv6 even though I had preferred dns stated on R2 to use 1.1.1.1 Seems it was using IPv6 Cloudflare

Explanation would be welcomed 👍

As far as I am aware the router would overwrite it, I may be wrong. I admit it doesn't make much sense given you can set it on the device. Do a DNS benchmark online and check to see which one applies. Your public IP is IPv6 so that is what you will use.
