Just installed the 3.0 - speed issues

Recommended Posts

So I downloaded the beta 3.0 hoping it would fix the constant internet outages everyday and now im no longer getting my download speeds. Ill post in order what I did and what changed.

-installed 3.0

-Speeds remain the same about 930-950 download and upload 100.

-did the recommended factory reset.

-now download speed is capped at 60 and upload 100. (speedtest.net reports 60 and the router speed test reports 400)

-turned off QOS entirely and now speedtest.net says im capped at 100 download and again 100 upload.

-Speed on the router is set to 950 download and 100 upload.

So heres something im noticing is when I look at the device manager in table mode it shows port 2 as full duplex and capped at 100mbits. This is the port my computer is connected too so why did it to do that and how do i change it? However whats more off is below that table it shows my computer as being on port 3 and open to 1000mbits so im seeing 2 different things here but physically my computer is connected to port 2 on the router. Its connected with a brand new cat8 that was working just fine for months so no its not the cable or my computer as I have a gbit port on the computer and again been working fine for months with this router and years before that. I have no modem never have. My ISP uses fiber and the internet cable is plugged directly into the router from the outside. Also my ISP speeds are 1000/100. So please help get this corrected.

Normally yes that would be the case but we are not running this beta so they want all information on there. It is also a lot each to track issues etc rather than split over two sites.

ok so dumaos is created by netduma...however you dont support your OS netgear supports it? That makes absolutely no sense not to mention this is a subforum specifically for XR500 support on your forums. "DumaOS on NETGEAR Nighthawk Support"

ok if you say so, Im just pissed off because im getting the run around. I paid 250 for this router specifically for your OS that has been nothing but problems since day one. Even using the geo filter my latency on games like COD and WoW have gone from in the 44 range with the 10 year old router to 80 in WoW and 90 on COD and im being pushed off to netgear whos support is so bad they couldnt tell their face from their ass.

Netgear router, Netgear beta including their code, Netgear need to see the results not Netduma. Netgear will consult with  Netduma I imagine if needed during the process. Also there are Netgear beta testers on that forum that can help you.
