blackhole
Apple added support for encrypted DNS in iOS 14. Started seeing a privacy warning tagged on my WiFi network (XR500 / firmware 2.3.2.56) after updating. Forgot the Wi-Fi network and reconnected which got rid of the warning but it eventually returned on one of my devices. Updated both to 14.0.1 today and so far no more warning. Is encrypted DNS fully supported in firmware 2.3.2.56?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 25, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 25, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! As far as I am aware this is something you need to setup on the device itself as it shouldn't make a difference to the router, hence why when you updated it works fine without the message. blackhole
Makes sense. I didn't see any reason the router would be blocking DoH on TCP/443 or DoT on TCP/853, but that's what I want to confirm.
