SendNukes
I posted this in my isp's forum but you guys here are pretty knowledgeable so I figured what the heck: At this point in time, im scratching my head as to what the actual issue is. I've gotten all coax changed in home. Only one splitter (tv/modem) The splitter is fine. My downstream channels are actually around 4-7 DbMv and 40ish SNR and my upstreams are between 40-43 db 3.1 modem Arris SB8200 All signal and power levels in spec. Tested with and without router. All lines from road to my home were replaced. Cox fixed a few issues down my street regarding signal noise and "Hum?" Brand new ethernet cables cat 8 Gigabit plan 940/35 My upload speeds struggle and my ping spikes randomly like crazy. Online gaming, sometimes im frozen for like 5 seconds, then i'm dead. Seems like packet loss but the ping plotter isn't showing much packet loss at all Console and servers are fine. I play this game at many different places on different isp's (with less speed) and the game runs great. Any ideas? Can an issue with my neighbors on the same utility pole affect me? And if so, how? I don't even know what to look for anymore HELP MEEEEE lol
patoche2520
bonjours 4-7 DbMv and 40ish SNR : snr faible 44 valeur absolue pour +-10 dbmv achete un amplificateur avec voie de retour passive hello 4-7 DbMv and 40ish SNR: low snr 44 absolute value for + -10 dbmv buys an amplifier with passive return path or contact fai

patoche2520
un amplificateur va stabiliser ta ligne car ton signal décroche : 7 dbmv est trop faible pour 40 snr ou contact ton fai : s est lui qui inject la force du signal . le nœud optique situé à proximité de ton domicile doit avoir un probléme. an amplifier will stabilize your line because your signal picks up: 7 dbmv is too weak for 40 snr or contact your fai: s he who injects the strength of the signal. the optical node located near your home must have a problem. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 15, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 15, 2020 Do you see any symbols on the game when that occurs or a spike in the Geo-Filter ping?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 15, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 15, 2020 Thanks for that. Are any devices being used at the time when you are playing? Are you using QoS at all? On the Geo-Filter does the ping go up when it happens?
SendNukes
This happens on qos This happens on geofilter This happens hardwired straight to my modem. Noone else uses the internet here
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 16, 2020 Definitely the ISP or modem then, would see if the advice from patoche helps at all.
SendNukes
But my power and SnR levels are all in recommended range. An amplifier would only make my downstream power levels closer to the 7dbmv threshold wouldn't it?
