Installation Fritzbox 6591 + XR500

Hallo,

Ich habe mir am Freitag, letzter Woche einen XR 500 Router bestellt und der kommt heute laufe des Tages hier an.

Meine Hardware + Leitung:

Fritzbox 6591 + 1 Gbit Leitung

jetzt möchte ich den XR 500 dahinter haben aber wie installiert man ihn, um kein Doppel NAT zu bekommen oder sonstige probleme zu haben.

 

Zusatz:

Ich möchte noch eine PS4 Pro per LAN am XR 500 schalten und per WLAN mein Laptop

aber bitte ohne Doppel Nat, da ich das oft gelesen habe, dass es wohl dazu kommt.

Hoffentlich kann mir einer von euch behilflich sein, Danke

Hallo, willkommen im Forum! Sie müssen die XR500 WAN IP (auf der Seite Systeminformationen auf der Schnittstelle) in die fritzbox DMZ eingeben. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass Sie über ein offenes NAT verfügen. Wenn Sie immer noch Probleme mit einem offenen NAT haben, wechseln Sie in den XR500-WAN-Einstellungen zu NAT.

Hello, welcome to the forum! You will need to put the XR500 WAN IP (found in the System Information page on the interface) into the fritzbox DMZ. That will ensure you have an Open NAT. If you still struggle with an open NAT then switch NAT to Open in the XR500 WAN Settings.

Hey, Danke für die Antwort, ich habe es gemacht aber auf der PS4 zeigt er mir.. es funktioniert ( NAT 2 ) dann wieder ( fehlgeschlagen ) bei jedem neuen Test

 

wo liegt nun das Problem?

 

was muss ich bei xr500 wan einstellungen denn machen?

Gehen Sie zu den XR500-Einstellungen und klicken Sie auf WAN-Einstellungen. Die Option für die NAT-Filterung ändert diese Option in "Öffnen" anstelle von "Gesichert" und überprüft, ob sie besser funktioniert.

Go to the XR500 settings, then click WAN Settings. The option for NAT Filtering change that to Open instead of Secured and see if it works better.

Haben Sie eine Portweiterleitung auf der Fritzbox? Erhalten Sie offenes NAT, wenn Sie eine Verbindung zu WiFi herstellen? Es scheitert immer wieder, ist das richtig?

Have you got any port forwarding on the Fritzbox? Do you get open NAT if you connect to WiFi? It keeps failing is that correct?

My Settings:

DHCP ON

Exposed Host for the XR500

IPv4 only / IPv6 off (btw. i can take on or is this not so important for Console Games?)

MTU 1500 (I think are the best for 1 Gigabit or?)

UPnP  not active for the XR500 because Exposed Host

DNS Server from my ISP

 

XR500:

 

DHCP ON

DMZ Standardserver off

NAT Filtering Open

MTU 1500

Internet Setup: static IP Adress, same how in the Fritzbox for the XR500

DNS Server 8.8.8.8

Geo Filter for my Location

Buffering: PS4 90% Download & Upload Laptop 10% Download & Upload

 

I use Cable to the Fritzbox 6591 then cable to the Nighthawk XR 500 and then Cable to the Playstation 4.

only my Laptop is with WiFi from the Power of XR 500 active.

 

Edit:

is NAT2 there is Fifa 20 Mega Slow and has errors and disconnects (I buy only the XR Router for Fifa, i hope u unsterstand me )

NAT Type 2 is open so that is absolutely fine. What errors are you getting? What are your Geo-Filter settings? I would recommend changing MTU back to their defaults.

MTU is 1500 standard / I haven't changed that

 

My Gameplay is very slow or has bugs wzh the XR

 

without the xr500 is my connection faster 😕

I see it in my Connection data from the PS4, 200 Mbits Download and 1,5 Mbits Upload and without XR500: 400 Mbits PS4 Download and Upload 10 Mbits i dont understand this

The speed difference wouldn't make the gameplay any worse as games don't use much upload at all. What is the difference in gameplay quality?

Matchmaking takes longer my ping is higher and ingame my reaction is slower

and the geo filter was optimally used for my region where I live

Could you give us a comparison between each for:

• Time it takes to get into a game
• Ping on each

Fifa only Fritzbox: 

22 - max 42 ms

Fifa with Fritzbox and XR500:

32 ms - max 50 ms

 

Call of Duty Modern Warfare: Warzone only Fritzbox:

 

20 - 30ms

 

CoD MW: Warzone with Fritzbox and XR500:

 

35 ms - 50 ms

Do you have devices connected to the Fritzbox when the XR500 is being used?

That doesn't make much sense. Open Command Prompt and ping the IP of the Fritzbox interface IP while connected to the XR500, what ping do you get back?

ich bin neu hier, aber ich hoffe dennoch helfen zu können. Ich habe lange die Problematik mit Vodafone (Kabeldeutschland) selber erleiden müssen.

Hier ein paar tipps zum Thema Fritzboxen + Gaming Router + Docsis

• Vergiss Friztbox fürs Gaming. Sie Unterstützen kein Bridgemodus. Das Thema Double-Nat wird immer vorhanden sein (auch mit DMZ oder besser gesagt Exposed-Host. Hol dir lieber den "dummen" basisrouter von Vodafone. Damit bekommst du die externe IP direkt am Netgear und kannst besser Sachen einstellen.
• Falls Geld keine Rolle spielt, hol dir ein Technicolor TC-4100 als Modem. Der hat ein Broadcom Docsis Chipsatz, und ist in Sachen Ping und Jitter besser aufgestellt. Fritzboxen sind für Solobetrieb bedacht. 
• Kleiner tipp am Rande. Es gibt ein Menüpunkt in der Fritzbox: "Priorisierung". da musst du die WAN IP der XR eintragen, oder auswählen (Pulldown-Menu), und zwar unter den Reiter Echzeitanwendungen. Sonst greift die QoS von der Fritzbox, und deine XR dreht am Daumen.
