scrubosaurus
hello guys just exchanged my xbox one S for a PS4 Slim. after setting all up i tested my internet speeds, this is what im getting: i have 100/100, QoS on 70%, ps4 ip on DMZ... on my Xbox i always had 70/70 :S
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 12, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 12, 2020 The console speed tests aren't super accurate, even says it's an estimate under the test. I wouldn't worry too much if you get full speeds via a wired PC. Gaming barely uses any bandwidth so you've got plenty for the console.

scrubosaurus
regarding the speeds... i just connected the PS4 to my modem, without the xr500, i get arround 95 download and upload. i connect the xr 500 again and i get 40 down, 3 or 4 upload...rly wierd... Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2020 Could be the Geo-Filter or Traffic Prioritization interfering with it so you can try with that disabled but I don't think it will make much difference. Try a download on each, if they both go at the same speed then the test can be ignored.
scrubosaurus
i had tryed that before posting, with the same results
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2020 There is no practical reason for the difference, they both are capable of the speeds. As in you tried downloads on each and they went at the same speed?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 14, 2020 The max download rate you can achieve with your speeds is 12.5 MBps not 100Mbps which is a different unit of measurement so do you see up to 12.5MBps when downloading on each?
