xr700 802.11ad with mg360 woes

Recommended Posts

I purchased a MG360 (https://www.newegg.com/millitronic-mg360-type-a/p/0XM-010A-00002?Description=mg360&cm_re=mg360-_-9SIAHE47TB0772-_-Product&quicklink=true) and having issues connecting with my XR700.

I will review my steps again and check my driver again (2.376.1662 from Peraso). Sadly its not working as follows with the V1.0.1.24 firmware.

  • XR700
    • Ch 2
      • Open
        • Connects but not valid IP from dhcp server
      • Secure (WPA2-PSK)
        • Sees the WIFI but will not connect with correct passphrase
    • Ch 3
      • open
        • not seen by the mg360
      • Secure (WPA2-PSK)
        • not seen by the mg360

Has anyone connected a device to the 802.11ad and had it work?

So the idea is that is connects to the 60GHz on the router and thus providing you with the benefits of 60GHz? Have you used the driver direct from their website? https://millitronic.com.tw/mg360/

Confirmed drivers. Sadly i do not see that anyone has replied indicating they are using the 60 GHz with a device as of yet.

Time to reach out to millitronic support at this point.

As far as I am aware you're the first person I've seen trying to use 60GHz since it the XR700 was released. As it's not native to your device and you're using an adapter I would agree engaging their support would be a good idea. Do keep us updated with how you get on.
