ItzOllie_
When I am using my computer (PC1) to game and another device starts UPLOADING (PC2) all of my bandwith is taken even though QOS is thouroughly set up (I get really high ping and start lagging). When another device DOWNLOADS (PC2) there is no problem with my computers bandwith (PC1). I read this thread: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/29135-qos-not-working/ Is this the issue? In the network monitor the R1 does not even seem to pick up that the device is even using the traffic... Also the GUI is PAINFULLY slow!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 7, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! Disable IPv6 and that should resolve your issue. If the GUI is slow then clear your browser cache/cookies, then load each page once and should be faster from then on.
ItzOllie_
When i disabled ipv6 the network stopped working, I only waited about 30 seconds. Would you advise waiting longer or should this be instant?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 8, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 8, 2020 On your ISP hub do you have the option to disable IPv6? If so do that there first. If not then once you've disabled IPv6 on the R1 reboot the router and see if you get a connection after that.
ItzOllie_
I am using a Draytek Vigor as my modem and using the R1 as my router with PPPOE. I have BT broadband through a DSL line.
ItzOllie_
Ok so I turned off IPV6 an rebooted. This seems to have solved the QOS issues. Although the GUI is still extremely slow after having cleared browser cache.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 8, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 8, 2020 That's great! What web browser are you using? We recommend Chrome as it's our most supported browser so try with that.
