mike10522
Hello everyone, Wife and I have started noticing network issues and getting ready for COD launch I start looking through my netduma. The first thing I've noticed is my CPU is maxed out, 90-100%. I went to look into the log and I guess I'll just start by posting this. Along with this what other information do you need for me to get this started? log-1571966654352.txt
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted October 25, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 25, 2019 Could you go to QoS > Anti-Bufferbloat, open the side menu and click Disable QoS, then see how the CPU usage looks. I'm wondering it QoS might be taxing the hardware.
mike10522
yes that reduced the CPU usage but I'm still getting the log on repeat, granted I'm not sure if the log means anything bad. Does this mean I can no longer use QOS features? What about upcoming features.
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted October 28, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2019 Well that was just a test, I need to narrow down what the issue is before I can fix it, disabling QoS isn't really a fix in and of itself. Do the network issues keep occuring after QoS is disabled?
mike10522
I did happen to drop wifi once today. I also happen to have my work laptop with me and I ran some speed test through different servers. Was getting 120-200 mbps through my modem and only 40 through my netduma with qos turned off. I think my netduma is 5 years old so I'm kind of worried
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted October 29, 2019 Administrators Share Posted October 29, 2019 Yeah hardware failures on older R1's aren't completely unheard of... I know that the original firmware is more lightweight, so perhaps moving from DumaOS back to the original firmware might be a good idea?
mike10522
Oh that's sucks, OK I'll look into it, thank you
