I have a All in one Router and Modem from my ISP

I feel like if i use the All in one, AND r1 router that just adds useless latency, i wish i had just a modem, so i can use the r1 router as a.. router.

my ISP is Bell, what should i do

There's no added latency by connecting a router to a modem - an ethernet cable transports a signal SO fast it would add something like 0.00001ms.
