Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 26, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 26, 2015 Which wifi network is showing up? Is it Netduma R1? If it is then the password will have reverted to the serial number from the box.
gile81
it is showing up netduma r1 but i never changed the password i left it as the serial number
Akic
OK this is what's going on, your WiFi is connected to your sky hub and your LAN cable is connected to the r1. Turn off your WiFi adapter and connect the LAN cable to the r1 and you should be able to connect to the r1's control panel at 192.168.88.1 Once you get to that we can figure out what's going on with the internet
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 26, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 26, 2015 Okay, if you make the Wifi network forget the password and then retype it in to connect. Does it connect at all? It doesn't have to give you internet access but does it say connected?
gile81
no it says incorrect password but i know we never changed it
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 26, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 26, 2015 Okay can you try Akic's suggestion please
Akic
Frasier we seem to be running a dual support thread here From the ipconfig it looks like the computer is connected by wi-fi to the sky box and the lan cable to the R1. I'm thinking the best way forward would be to connect to the R1 via LAN then access the settings and configure the wi-fi. To do that it's best to disable wi-fi (or disconnect at least) to prevent a multihoming situation
Akic
gile81 if you like we could meet in chat and I can talk you through what you need to do. Might be easier than doing it on a thread? I'm around for the next hour or so
gile81
ok i turned off my wifi adapter and connected it by lan it shows it as a home network with no internet options (despite being connected to sky modem), when i tried the 192.168.88.1 it still wouldnt allow it. im still getting this under details Google Chrome's connection attempt to 192.168.88.1 was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured.
