Ronster
I am currently having the issue with my current router which my ISP provided.. the BT Smart hub. In my household we currently have 1 PS4 console and 2 Xbox One consoles and only 1 is able to obtain open nat. when I am on the bthub manager, it shows that UPNP has designated the port 3074 to one Xbox One console and I can't adjust it or remove it as it doesn't give me an option. The only way for me to remove it is to disconnect the console from the network and hard reset the router. If I don't do this, my PS4 will have strict nat type where as Xbox One #1 will have open and Xbox One #2 will have moderate. Would a netduma, or specifically the XR500 allow me to have open nat type on all consoles across all games?
Administrators Netduma Admin Posted March 11, 2018 Administrators Share Posted March 11, 2018 Hi Ronster - welcome to the forum! It’s always a tricky one opening NAT across multiple consoles so I’m not surprised to hear you’re having some difficulties. The XR500 has a well tested UPNP feature. It also has port forwarding and a DMZ option which will help you get an open NAT. As both ourselves and NETGEAR are supporting the product I’m sure we’ll be able to get everything open for you Let is know if you have any other questions. The XR500 is packed full of many great features!

FYI - The xbox allows you to assign the default Xbox Live port manually to stop multiple console conflict. You will find this under Network Settings->Advanced->Ports. Note PS4 uses 3074 (and nothing else); so for your xboxes pick two other ports from the drop down menu. For Open NAT in game, that is more down to the game too...
