Devices not recognized

So far this is looking like the worst purchase of my adult life.

  1. What firmware version are you on?  1.03.6
  2. What speeds do you get from multiple speed tests? 913 down and 769 up
  3. What is your current setup? AT&T fiber, BGW210  3 netgear gs 108s, Asus tmac1900 2 Samsung smart tvs, 2 Xbox ones, Xbox 360
  4. What is your specific issue? My brand new out of the box R1 is not recognizing any of my devices it will recognize the pc attached to and that is it.  Not meaning that they say nameless but that they are not even on the list of connected devices. Devices such as 2 xbox ones and a 360.  Am I not allowed to connect an ethernet port switch?  The email I received was even better "we are sorry but we are working on it".  So what do I do now? Do I put it away and wait for the latest fix around April?  I get to just wait.  Like waiting on someone to get back to me about this.  I have searched the forums and if I missed it then I have no comment.  I don't days to search for my exact issue when I typed 30 different things into the search and came up with nothing.
  5. Worst set up I have ever had to deal with and I will definitely NEVER do this again.  I have unplugged everything and plugged it all back in.  I saw something about UPNP being turned on in one of the posts so that is on.  I have been very patient with this but day 2 of getting nowhere is dumb.

Hi,. welcome to the forum! We're sorry you're having a bad time, but I'm confident we can get you up and running.

Ethernet switches should be 'transparent' to the Netduma, meaning all devices connected through them should show up as individual devices on the interface.  I see you've got 3 Netgear switches - why is this? Do you have two switches connected to each other (i.e Netduma > Switch > Switch > Gaming devices)? This could cause the gaming devices to be shown as one device.

Are you having any more trouble setting up the router? The router is easiest to set up if you type your speeds in 'Set Bandwidth', allow the router to automatically configure the router, and then select a profile for the game you're playing.

Hey Chaos,

Could you confirm a couple of things.

  1. Do the devices which aren't showing up on the R1 have an internet connection?
  2. Are they setup to get a dynamic IP address (remember if using a static IP that the R1s address will be different from your old router)?
  3. Are using Chrome to access the interface?

1. Yes

2. I couldn't figure it out so I now have 2 networks now.  I will try some more when I get home from work today.

3. Yes I was.

4. I just got a new modem/router from ATT and am not very familiar with it yet.  I do not see a DMZ option on it.

Thank you.

Check that they're definitely connected to the Netduma (and not defaulted back to the old network, for example).
