Thinking of purchasing the NetDuma, may have an issue?

I am considering buying the NetDuma for my modem router, which is a Technicolour 587NV3, I'm just unsure as to whether it will work and be compatible. We have a laptop in the same room as our modem router, so it can plug into that aswell as the modem router I believe.

 

Any suggestions?

There should be no issues with compatibility of the two. If you do end up purchasing I would put the Technicolour into modem mode, then connect everything to the R1. That would allow it to take control of your network and then you'll benefit the most from its features.

What do you mean by putting it into modem mode? & do you mean connect all devices using internet to the R1?

Just look up your modem/router and don't think you have modem mode so don't worry about that. I would however turn off its WiFi. 

 

Yes that's what I mean and with the modem/router WiFi off no devices can connect automatically meaning the R1 is in full control and you'll therefore benefit from all it's features.

So does it matter how old my modem is? + does it have good signal strength and do you know how good it is in Australia?

As long as it can pass everything through to the R1 it should be fine. Signal should be able to support an average sized house. We have quite a few customers in Australia and they love it.
