usernamerequired
Having spent 2 years with this we can find no solution to NetDuma dropping wifi at various times during the day with BT Infinity. Wired stays connected. We can only think it is a BT Infinity Netduma issue as didn't have problems at old house on Virgin Media. We have spent a lot of time and money trying to resolve the issue but nothing works (for us anyway). Tried different modem/router combos and every setting imaginable. The only solution is to use wifi of a different router connected to Netduma or go back and put HH5 back in (that would be painful) and let family use wifi on that negating congestion control which boy do we need! Bit of a shame that they don't just work together (for us anyway).
bagsta69
I have BT Infinity and have no issues with dropping the wifi, Open reach modem Netduma, thats it. If you could elaborate a little on what you have tried already maybe somebody could suggest some things for you to try such as a different wifi channel etc.

usernamerequired
Thanks guys but tried wifi channels. How populated are your local areas? On a wifi scanner we are seeing over 20 devices on each channel. Bagsta how many wifi devices do you have and do you have ipads, iphones (the only other thing can think of)? Tried open reach modem, currently using a DM200 which has given brilliant internet performance generally. Switched off IP6 everywhere and tried wifi workaround off and on for days at a time. Like I say in a similar area with similar numbers of wifi devices on Virgin Media no issues.
RL317
Very strange mate. I've been with BT Infinity for exactly a year today and I've never had any drop outs of any kind, with or without the Netduma. When the Wi-Fi drops out does your wired connection continue working flawlessly or have you lost the ability to connect either way before?
bagsta69
I have 10 devices connected over wifi and 6 wired. iPhones, tablets, iPads, MacBooks and laptops etc. My local wifi channels are quite well populated but I don't think quite as congested as yours. The only solution seems to be what you have already done and utilise a 2nd router for an access point for wifi. As you mentioned apple products I do recall having a few issues when I first got my MacBook Pro with it dropping the signal over wifi but resolved this by changing the channel. pollutionblues
When I had it I lived in a very populated area and I had 20+ wireless devices on my network. I didn’t scan the WiFi as changing the channel worked for me.
