Hooking up new modem

Forgive my ignorance on this, haven't changed out modems in awhile. Went back to an older Comcast modem and when I connect my computer directly to the modem I get connected when I try add the netduma, no connection. Is there a basic setting I am forgetting about on the modem. I remember it being plug and play but I might have just forgot something very simple.

Reboot the modem after connecting the Netduma
