TitaayZ
Internet Ethernet with netduma: 16up and 170down (normal speed) Internet Wifi With netduma: 16up and 40down I have fast internet and these are the speeds I pay for, i currently switched back to using my ISP router for wifi as the strength is better. I tried switching channels and used your non-gaming profile to test and still got the same results with the WIFI speeds. Any help?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 2, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 2, 2017 Your speeds will be slower over WiFi as it is b/g/n. If you're getting your full speeds through ethernet then the only things I could suggest would be use the least congested channel possible and move the router into a more central location / not in a corner. PharmDawgg
If you do it that way you will be losing out on the congestion control capabilities because all your devices will not be routed through you R1. I would recommend adding a wifi extender or using another router as a wifi extender so you can get 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and all your network traffic flowing through the R1. That would be a good senario but the netduma router is 300 bucks where i live and buying another router to connect through the netduma just to handle my speeds is stupid. I am not having three routers in my home. I find it kinda bullshit since the fucking thing is three hundred bucks and cant even handle 100 down and up internet for wifi users in my home in 2017? Deciding on the hardware in 2014 when we launched we knew it was a gaming router, therefore the optimum setup would be to have gaming devices wired to the router. If they had to play via WiFi then 2.4GHz is the best as it is more stable than 5GHz so that's why we went with the hardware we did. When did you purchase the router? I notice your forum account was made August last year, but in case you ordered it more recently you can look at our returns policy as it doesn't meet your expectations. https://netduma.com/terms/
