RL317
Just a quick question for you seasoned Netduma veterans. Am I right in thinking that rating a server highly will allow me to connect to it with my radius set elsewhere, or does it only pertain to player hosts/P2P? I'm wanting to test gameplay in IW on different servers, but I have inconsistent results while picking just one server alone as sometimes I can struggle to find games (the UK server seems like a big magnet and pulls everyone in), so I get frustrated and just try playing with the filter turned off. Ideally I'd like to try the French, German and Italian servers, while avoiding the Dutch one as it gives me close to the latency I get to the UK, but it's impossible to have both France and Germany in the radius without crossing over Amsterdam. Is it possible to rate the German server highly enough to keep it in the green section of Deny & Allow, with my filter radius hovering over the French and Italian servers, so that I'll be able to find games on all three servers? Thanks for any replies in advance
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15, 2017 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2017 What about setting the radius like this? That would get you the servers you want. You shouldn't be able to allow servers as they should only have a temp ban button. If you're able to then yes in theory it would work.
RL317
Thanks for the reply Fraser. Unfortunately that would leave me stuck playing on the Dutch server most of the time. I'm trying to avoid it Edit: never mind, I'm gonna give BO2 a whirl on the old dusty PS3. Getting sick of either lag while getting a flat 7ms to the London server, or finding player hosts with hexagons. Why does the game only give host to people with poorly optimised lines or melting modems? Packet loss and jitter all day long. I never get icons like this to servers. This was just now on "25ms" SMFH.
